Yeah yeah, Your in luck mike. Now you need wheels and tires for the thing. hard packed clay and Big block treads dont mix... makes me wish i had my holeshots again.

rawfuls 03.30.2009 06:29 PM

Glad to hear you're at least running a temp. setup!

Chadworkz 05.16.2009 02:52 AM

Isn't the 2650 built by Castle only, and the 2200 is a Neu/Castle?

BL_RV0 05.16.2009 10:59 AM

No. They're both neu/castle motors.

Chadworkz 05.16.2009 03:29 PM

Oh, ok...thanks. For some reason I was under the impression that the 2650kV was a CC motor, but I am glad to hear it is a CC/Neu.

UPDATE: The layout of the hyper was just redone. batterytrays on either side. motor directly in the middle, servo directly in the middle, and MMM in the back. Im in school so I can't link pics, but search for eovnu87435ds on photobucket for pics!

lincpimp 05.18.2009 11:38 AM

Looks good Mike, the layout is tight but I like the forward battery placement, and they are about as close to the centerline as you can get. Should handle and jump very well.

Heres the pics:

Great motor mount, did you make that, or order it? nice buggy by the way.

brushlessboy16 05.18.2009 01:23 PM

Damn mike no props? :) Thats my work

I raced the car with the old setup.. the car nosed down horrible and would try and barrell roll in the air.. soo much fun to try and correct it in the air :)

I think you have pretty much optimized the setup on this one (and by you I mean me.) ;)

nitrostarter 05.18.2009 01:44 PM

It looks good. Is that Monster Mike's creation on the motor mount?

What batteries are you running? I was looking into this general layout but I run only 1 3s or 4s pack. I dont have 2s packs and I don't want to run my batteries in parallel, yet... So I ruled it out for me for now.

Arct1k 05.18.2009 02:02 PM

Brian G IIRC

X1-CR saddle setup... Most of my packs are 2s...

it was Brian's, then it went to whitrzac. I bought his hyper 7 as a roller for spares so now I have it.

The pics show 2 flightmax 3s 4000mah packs. They aren't mine. I just got entjoles's 2x 2s 25c 5000mah NeuEnergy lipos. At the track I use the Neus for qualifying, and then the flightmax's in parallel for 3s 8000mah for the 15 minute main

It's been a long time since I posted, but I did alot of work to the hyper to make sure it is as perfect for the RC-M bash!! The roller I got from whitzrac was in a better condition than most of mine, and it had alot less holes in the chassis as well, so I converted everything to his. in the process I was able to do a real thorough cleaning, so I got some pics of this very rare event. Here is the newest general info about my hyper:

MMM/2650kv combo geared 14/46
2x2s NeuEnergy 25c 5000mah lipos from entjoles!
RC-Monster custom motor mount made for BrianG's hyper a long time ago
Airtronics 94357 servo
AKA tires (Cityblocks in the front, I-beams in the rear)
OFNA super thin rims
Jconcepts Hyper 8 Illuzion body
Jconcepts buggy wing
1 Novak tray(ben has the other on his revo, I have a new set coming in though...)

Everything looks to be a nice clean setup now, its pretty well balanced and I did some tuning for the local track too

Here are some pics!
