dang... I just went to purchase this conversion kit for my savage from RC-Monster, add it to the cart than I went to add the LST shock conversion to the cart and guess what... urrrr they are OOS of the LST shock conversion mounts. FIgures.. Was hoping to get them all in one order. Guess I will wait.

At least when you get it they will be the updated version with the spacers for the stock arms.

well I couldn't wait any longer. I ordered the FLM Savage BL conversion kit today. Whooohooo! Also ordered a 1800 and 2600 Great Plains Ammo motors since they were only $34 each. The 2600 is backordered but for the price they were hard to pass up. Got the MM already, just need to figure out which battery pack, 3S or 4S to go with. mmmm can't wait to get this FLM kit in my hands!
Anyone want to buy some cheap nitro savage parts now? |

I hope so.... they are good enough for E-Savage owners from what I have read. |
the savage is quite a bit heavier though.

Anyone know if this TRUERC 8000mah pack will fit in with this conversion?
TrueRC 14.8V 4S2P 8000mAh OR should I just get the smaller 5000mah 4S pack for this conversion? |
Which ones? the 10 or 15 c's? the 10 c's should fit without a problem.
I expect the 15c's to fit too. Once i've got my chassis i'll get you the dimensions on what size cells you can use. |
I was looking at this one.
Size 44mm x 50mm x 145mm (1.73in x 1.96in x 5.7in) Weight Aprox 24oz / 680g Discharge Up to 80A Continuous 120A Max burst Didn't know there was a 10 and 15.... not sure which one this pack is than. |
That's not all that big. It'll fit no problem. I just set my TrueRC pack on the lipo plate for my kit (I havent started assembling yet) and it looks like you should have no problem at all with that.

Just can't decide... 8000mah or 5000mah more weight and runtime or lighter weight and less runtime. uuuurrrrrr |
8000mah. The 5000mah at 10c dont have the current capability. I typicially think anything with 80A or greater constant rating and 120A burst is adequete for 1/8 brushless. Less and you risk damaging the pack by putting to large of a load on it IMO.
Ive never had a 5000, but I can tell yo the 8000 are excellent value for the $. Ive had a set for a couple years now and they are still runnin strong. |
jhautz, thanks for the help. You just made me spend $140!
:D |
And you got yourself some serious nice lipo's their old cells are capable of delivering 2800 watts in burst as a 4S2P pack.
