I did today a new try to make it run. My dogbones arrived and fixed my spurgear.

Only forget to locktite the pinion so it came losse... My spurgear and pinion are a bit damaged, but not critical....Only a bit more noisy..:p

I like, I like alot. Having 8 mounting holes is nice - I only have 2 that are 25mm apart on the medusa, and 2 that are abit closer...

Joram 03.26.2009 02:35 PM

Yes, the multiple holes are very usefull for mounting.

It are 2-pole motors, just to know... They have lower wattage specs but they can deliver just as much power as the NEU's/Medusa's, maybe even more!

The 4570 is equal to the lehner 2230 motor qua measures, so I am very looking toward the day i can test it:intello:

Joram, how much money (USD) would it cost for a savox 4570?

Joram 03.28.2009 04:03 AM

132$ , they cost 100 euro's.

Here an overview of the RTR truck with 4570!

Joram 03.28.2009 03:15 PM

Definately not short on power, but not ideal driving conditions either by the looks of it.. :mdr:

Joram 04.06.2009 12:53 PM

So, finally get rid of the slipperpads....

Made it with an VTX truggyspurgear atatched to the hub...

Center-diff

I'm sitting here with a brand new Savage-X, an FLM kit, a center-diff and bulks from a Hyper7 and a selection of power options. I've been researching the same question myself, so far I haven't found a good configuration. I'm trying to get everything including a large 5s lipo inide the TVP's.

I'm hoping that the center diff option will work better than what I've seen of Savages so far.

I've really found this thread to be a bit discouraging as I watch you replace virtually every part on the Savage. I already have a Muggy that's proven to be pretty tough with no drivetrain problems despite enough power to do a wing-stand at any speed.
