Awesome!

And just so everyone knows, Ben (brushlessboy16) helped me out ALOT with coming up with ideas for this center diff conversion, so don't give me all the credit for this.

Thanks Ben!

Just got my motor and ESC installed for a test fit! Seems to be great! Ran into a problem though, and thats my batter trays. My original plan was to cut the ones off the plastic E-Maxx chassis and mount them onto the T-Maxx chassis, however the T-Maxx chassis is narrower and the trays would be a PITA to mount. So I have decided to go with battery straps.

Hopefully I can find blue Gorrilla Maxx straps, to match the rest of the truck. I don't know of any websites that sell the Gorrilla Maxx stuff besides RCM, and they only have the black straps. Anyone out there have some blue ones they would be willing to sell?

Sorry for the spam chris

Wild YFZ 450 05.05.2009 05:33 PM

Chris will be fine with everything.. well that is unless his GF finds out he made a order the other night

BL_RV0 05.05.2009 06:34 PM

Chris- invest in one of the Proxxon micro mills. They cost $300 and would be a great addition to your shop!

Krawlin 05.05.2009 07:11 PM

Lets not get into the Chevy v. Ford argument...

@ post #160 by Ben

And she knows that I ordered all this stuff.

And I will look into one, but that price makes me wonder if they are any better than the Harbor Freight micro mills?

Love the build, Chris. As said earlier, functionality over looks is a big plus.

Krawlin 05.07.2009 09:36 PM

Thanks! And I am trying to keep it looking halfway decent though, trying to keep it limited to blue, black, and silver for the colors.

New update, will have pictures later. Just got my Integy aluminum center diff mounts, and actually they seem really sturdy, time will tell though. For this application though, they should hold up just fine.

I have a question about mounting my receiver....

Now as sad as this seems, I am still using the stock Rx and Tx (probably going to put my JR XR2i in it in a few days). But anyway, I am wondering if it would be alright to mount the receiver up front next the motor, opposite the steering servo. Would there be alot of interference with it right there next to the motor? The motor wires would be opposite the receiver so I dont think that is so much of an issue, but would the fact of it being that close to the motor in general be bad and cause interference?
