Hey JaySki,
I had a similar problem where when I hit the throttle the LED lights were dimming. It turned out it was my Lipo cutoff setting. I manually had it set to like 12.5 on 4s and I had that problem (even with brand new fresh batteries). I just set it to "auto" and it fixed the problem. Dont know if this will work for you. I heard sometimes restoring to factory defaults help too. |
Tried that already, but thanks for the advice.

Oh that sucks, welcome to the party!

The MGM is expensive compared to the MMM, and it's commendable that so many on here are so patriotic to an American company. I just decided it was worth the extra to have a truggy that was up and running reliably rather than sit and look at something waiting on the next promise on delivery and reliability. I hope whatever you do you get sorted and are soon back out there having fun. |
I heard that the delay is due to the spring in the clutch. Tekno said you can run without spring for more punch. But, the delay to me seem neglegible since the spring on the shoes are suppose to lessen the load put on the motor, and I want the reliability. Like I said one more chance for MMM. I think I have been very patient!

I have a new MMMv2 sitting at the lhs, I think I may wait for the v3, i dont like these types of frustrations. I know CC is realy good with the warranty, but I wont be racing again till April. :(

well... now that I bought the MMM (preorder) $170 It burnt out two servos $40 I bought the MM as a back up $120 Along with a UBEC $25 and a fan $10 I feel I spent close to what I would have if I had gone MGM  my only saving grace is that I know Castle has my back. MGM seems to replace most, but they seem to be a bit more picky with their replacement policy. With all the time my truck has been sitting here collecting dust with over $2K invested.....I'm thinking I should have gone with the TMM 25035-3 Car / Boat E-SERIES. Good for upto 8s 250-300A. I only run 6s, so it should handle my set-up with ease. |
my second v2 s still working fine :D

Personally I've heard a lot of good things about their customer service and they've always replied within a day to any questions I've had and been very polite on the phone. I think you'll find european companies in general are less tolerant of any claims where there are any signs of operator abuse but will look after you if there's clearly an issue with the product. I just hope that all the trust faith shown on here in CC isn't misplaced and it all comes good in the end, I'm sure it will, I'm just too impatient to wait! |
Has anyone heard about the software update for V3? I heard from Castle that a big part of the failures was due, in part, to software. They had said that the newest version would be released this week. I have an unused V2 that I am waiting to use once it gets the updated firmware. (I was soooo tempted to throw it in my E-Revo this past weekend and run it without the updated software, but I managed to resist!)
Has anyone heard anything more about the release of this new firmware? |
