Please, sneek, be a bit specific.:)

squeeforever 12.29.2005 01:20 AM

hes saying if you get the racer-x vbs system (one without towers) you would still need to get towers. i would go with the ue knucklhead or flm. you can get the racer-x with the knuckleheads (non-vbs). either way you have to have shock towers unlike the ue vbs towered system with the built in towers.

captain harlock 12.29.2005 11:42 AM

Yeah, I know that already, but I got a bit confused. Thanks, Squee and Sneek.

mmdooley 01.13.2006 07:17 PM

Scratch Steering linkage because that's the UE servo saver. I have Flm shock towers and they are nice! What kind of CVD's are you going to use??

Nick 01.13.2006 07:28 PM

I wouldn't reccomend alluminium skid plates, titanium would be alot better. Thats from my own experience though. :)

Papa 01.13.2006 07:40 PM

If you order the racerx kit for vbs towerless. You do not need to get the knucklehead towers they are part of the kit. Kinda seems funny when you look at it but the VBS can be had either towered or towerless the suspension is oposite.

mmdooley 01.13.2006 07:41 PM

I also have the FLM aluminum skids and they are very thick. It would take a serious wreak to bend them.

You'll still need the link that attaches from servo arm to UE servo saver.

Sneeck 01.14.2006 04:29 AM

UE motherload shock acc. Ton's and ton's of part's of the racer x shock's.

The linkage that goes from servo to servo saver can be made by hand using a long enough m3 or m4 screw. Cut it to length and screw some rod end's on. Done.

Serum 01.14.2006 04:59 AM

I use the original traxxas rodends to connect the saver to the horn. You just need to make them a bit smaller, and with a piece of M3 thread you can connect them together.

Sneeck 01.14.2006 05:49 AM

Yo Rene get on msn man we need to talk.

You mean both the pro suspension kit and the towerless suspension kit come with shock towers, already?! then why is the pro kit $70 higher than the towerless?

pro kit=$ 470

towerless= $399
Need some clarification, please.:P:

Serum 01.14.2006 07:11 AM

The 470 dollar kit comes with the towers and the 399 kit comes without the towers.

captain harlock 01.14.2006 07:16 AM

Well, I still cant see why is it so expensive to be sold for 470, though a knucklehead kit costs only 40 dollars. I need some more clarification.:)
