I like the spur gear adapter for the diff, looks great. The center diff will tame the wheelies alot. And it will turn much better too!

Wow! Your work is always amazing.

Candyman2 04.09.2009 03:07 PM

thanks, there isnt one, they come from a 2 speed setup that uses a funny clutch thing with a one way bearing, no centre diff to speak of

Ah. I thought they were the same as the ones for the Dominator and Monster Pirate. One had the center slipper, and one had the center diff. I thought all the Ofna gears like those (51t, 65T, etc) fit them? I know the 65T and the 51T for sure fit the Ofna center diff that has the removable spurs (without opening the diff). They have the same pattern as the Strobe, and I thought the same pattern as the center slipper. There kinda hard to find, but I have one around here somewhere...

Sweet!!!!!! Amazing work candyman! I remember being awed the first time I saw it on the traxxas forums.

Very, very, nice car.

Looks like something Mike would have made/designed- I like it alot.

Time for a redesign, I think i've been using this hacked up gorilla chassis for too long :) Main objective is to move the motor lower and nearer the middle of the truck, and as always symetry is key

Its not 100% yet, few things need changing here and there, hopefully get it finished this week and electronics in...... somehow

Amazing!

Yo, Candy, when the heck are you gonna use lipos, man? The world is moving forward fast you know.

Takedown 05.26.2009 05:55 PM

If only it had lipos.... The it would be perfect.

BL_RV0 05.26.2009 09:51 PM

Beautiful work.

MetalMan 05.26.2009 10:04 PM

Man, how long did all of that take? It really shows you have some impressive skill! Excellent design, and as usual, top-notch fabrication.

BitHed 05.26.2009 10:35 PM

...i was about to pose a question for my own 'build' (term used VERY loosely after seeing this) but now i once again embarrassed by the master...Brilliant work CM...Astounding...Man you need a girlfriend ;)

Candyman2 05.27.2009 03:12 AM

Thanks guys, no need for lipo, truck is plenty fast enough on these cells! and with nimh so cheap i dont think I will ever change.

Didnt take long, maybe 25 hours in total, about 2 weeks, I nearly didnt finish it, I had 3 different ideas for a chassis and spent some time working on the other 2 as well! im still not 100% happy on the design so I might make another yet.

nitrostarter 05.27.2009 09:57 AM

I think this design is brilliant and could definitely go into production... Looks awesome!!
