Well it is not as good looking as known brands, but if you guys like the way it works than we can tweak it quite easy.

Kinda odd looking with TO-220 fets, I think we can replace these fets with better ones with smaller footprint. What you think, Lutach?

And I am still waiting for the second unit to arrive from ebay.

NICE

If you have some superTO-220 FETs to use go for it or go completely wild with some iso's 400A plus MOSFETs. Some of those have monstours specs. If I had 1% of your skill Artur, I would do what you did with the nice looking powerboard you made. I like the DPAK MOSFETs and some ESC that uses them doen't seem to have any heat issues at all. Do your magic and keep us posted please.

The search is over... well, if you concider 6s high voltage anyway.

I see that it has a car mode on the prog card, but it does not say anything about that in the description. Any other info would be nice...

To me it looks alot like a BK 120.

The car and boat mode is not active yet. Scorpion is still working on the car software and when it comes out it should be nice. I hope they the ABS (Anti-lock braking system) that I mentioned and an option for A123 type cells 2V cut-off.

I will wait with you . I know the SHV will be coming out and I will get one when and if my 1/8 scale F1 gets here.

You people do realize that 14s is starting to get into the shock hazard range right? 14s is ~60v. With my fingers, I can feel the "signal" from my 600w car amp at full tilt and that's around 50v. Of course, AC is a bit different, but pretty soon, we're gonna need a qualified electrician to certify our setups!

Yeah, but I need more power to push my MMT and new XLB project even faster. Only way to do it is more voltage.

suicideneil 04.11.2008 05:15 PM

You need 60v to push a 1/8 MT? Dare I ask what motor you are using for this?....

This is awesome though. My controllers will be able to go up to 15S, but 14S seems to be on the safe side . I've been shocked a few times and one more time wouldn't hurt .

There are plenty of choices out there.

Yes its the XTM MMT and the XLB which is the 1/7th buggy. Both are huge and have almost 17" wheelbases. I have 1521's, 1527's and motors in between. Shooting for 100mph with the buggy once its done. The truck I'm shooting for 80mph....already have some results with it on 8S and 10S which I will get the video up soon and the GPS reading
. So far 78.6 on the GPS and 78mph on the bushnell radar. Heading out to the airport to do the runs again next weekend and get some good footage.

Sheer bonkers... ness. I wish you luck though, speed is more of a challenge than almost anything else in the RC world.
