It will not, the bearin race on the genisis spur gear is made for a 10mm ID bearing- i tried.
Just about any 8th scale spur gear will work on it with minor mods. |

I think its time for an update. Purchased and received a secondhand Kyosho Motor mount. I the bearing holes line up fine but the upper post was .08'' too tall. a hacksaw and grinder fixed this.(avoids me buying Kyosho CD mounts). Also purchased my R1 body from jhautz- one of a dying breed- That should be here monday or tuesday. And Just now I placed a rather large order from Amain...
Wheels, tires, batts, center CVD's, Screw kit, Shock oil, and some other odds and ends. Thanks, cant wait to get this thing together. this week is going to go by soo slow.
bit of a downer here.. For the last 2 weeks i have been talking about racing and getting my truck together... My mother ordered my stuff from amain for me- and I tell her "i need to have the stuff by thurday at the latest, get USPS priority.." She gets UPS ground because it was the cheapest(even tho i was paying) so my parts wont be here till monday... there goes opening day. wooptie doo. :(
Thanks... Kind of bummed about this though.
Guess I won't bother coming to South Jersey...

Thanks, Well my body Came in, started fitting that on today. I really like the ram air induction on the R1 Body- how I have my setup it runs cool air over the MMM constantly :).

Should be Nice when its done |
Looks good, but if you have a Dremel definitely smooth out those edges.
Yeah Im working on that, Had to cut the cooling vents out first :)
the smoother your cutout is, nice big radius' in corners and nothing coming to the point will only mean that the body will be less likely to crack......thats the main reason for smoothing all your cuts out, not for looks.
Yeap, i know. im not finished with the body yet, gimme a break
o0o me like!
Nice! That dremel work on the cooling hole would look much better with a little sanding, though.
Yea.... Sand those holes!!! Did ya cut those hole with a chain saw..... Geez!
Just trying to annoy him now.:na:  Looks good man. :great: |
Thanks, and it was dull butter knife fyi
This wait is killing me!
Found out that because of rain the track is pushing there opening day back to tommorow! but still no parts :( remind me to never use UPS again in life. |

it will be delivered monday.

Quote:
Yeah, because all of the shipping companies and USPS are so open on Sundays, yep..... No shipping service accepts or delivers on Sundays, you should know that. Unless its high priority Next Day or 1 Day shipping through UPS and FedEx, nothing happens with shipping on Sundays. Don't play stupid. :whip: And the Matrix is looking great Ben! That body is going to look amazing on there. |
Post #432 on page #29 I can't believe the electronics can take all that snow!!! So you just let it melt? I know the MMM is sealed but dang...
The mmm is not sealed, Its mounted up high and its radiant heat melts any snow that comes into contact with ti

I thought melted snow turns into water...... Anyway it seems to be holding up and that makes me more confident in mine. |
its not sealed.... there are holes on all sides of the case but the bottom.
