I'm pretty sure the genesis center diff uses a 44 tooth spur gear, which should swap with the matrix spur gear with no problems. I checked on cens web site and found that they both use the same plate on the opposite end of the diff housing. Now the genesis only uses it on the front and rear diff's as the center has another gear on it. But the front and rear diff housings are the same as the center diff housing. The plate I'm talking about is the gs060.

brushlessboy16 03.16.2009 10:05 PM

It will not, the bearin race on the genisis spur gear is made for a 10mm ID bearing- i tried.
Just about any 8th scale spur gear will work on it with minor mods.

check out these links. From what I see the bearings are the same part number used on the front/rear and center diff of the genesis as well as the matrix center diff. That bearing is part number g73914 which is 8x16x5 in size.

also note that the back plate part number gs060 found on the matrix center diff is the same as the plate used on the front/rear diff of the genesis, which uses the same housing as the center diff.

I think its time for an update. Purchased and received a secondhand Kyosho Motor mount. I the bearing holes line up fine but the upper post was .08'' too tall. a hacksaw and grinder fixed this.(avoids me buying Kyosho CD mounts). Also purchased my R1 body from jhautz- one of a dying breed- That should be here monday or tuesday. And Just now I placed a rather large order from Amain...
Wheels, tires, batts, center CVD's, Screw kit, Shock oil, and some other odds and ends.

brushlessboy16 03.31.2009 06:55 AM

bit of a downer here.. For the last 2 weeks i have been talking about racing and getting my truck together... My mother ordered my stuff from amain for me- and I tell her "i need to have the stuff by thurday at the latest, get USPS priority.." She gets UPS ground because it was the cheapest(even tho i was paying) so my parts wont be here till monday... there goes opening day. wooptie doo. :(

brushlessboy16 03.31.2009 09:12 PM

Color scheme will be Black base, Purple graphics with yellow outline/pinstripe. Should be Nice when its done

Unsullied_Spy 04.01.2009 01:18 AM

Looks good, but if you have a Dremel definitely smooth out those edges.

brushlessboy16 04.01.2009 07:40 AM

Yeah Im working on that, Had to cut the cooling vents out first :)

rootar 04.01.2009 07:51 AM

the smoother your cutout is, nice big radius' in corners and nothing coming to the point will only mean that the body will be less likely to crack......thats the main reason for smoothing all your cuts out, not for looks.

brushlessboy16 04.01.2009 07:57 AM

Yeap, i know. im not finished with the body yet, gimme a break

brushlessboy16 04.01.2009 08:45 PM

Finished trimming and masking :)

o0o me like!

BL_RV0 04.03.2009 09:19 PM

Nice! That dremel work on the cooling hole would look much better with a little sanding, though.

jhautz 04.03.2009 09:37 PM

Yea.... Sand those holes!!! Did ya cut those hole with a chain saw..... Geez!

Just trying to annoy him now.:na:

Looks good man. :great:

brushlessboy16 04.03.2009 11:04 PM

Wait- doesn't that mean your package will arrive monday? Or are they open on sunday?

brushlessboy16 04.04.2009 02:36 PM

Yeah, because all of the shipping companies and USPS are so open on Sundays, yep.....

No shipping service accepts or delivers on Sundays, you should know that. Unless its high priority Next Day or 1 Day shipping through UPS and FedEx, nothing happens with shipping on Sundays. Don't play stupid. :whip:

And the Matrix is looking great Ben! That body is going to look amazing on there.

Kcaz25 04.04.2009 03:23 PM

Post #432 on page #29 I can't believe the electronics can take all that snow!!! So you just let it melt? I know the MMM is sealed but dang...

brushlessboy16 04.04.2009 03:36 PM

The mmm is not sealed, Its mounted up high and its radiant heat melts any snow that comes into contact with ti

Well its sealed but the fan is not. At least I know that the V3 is.

I thought melted snow turns into water......

Anyway it seems to be holding up and that makes me more confident in mine.

brushlessboy16 04.04.2009 05:03 PM

its not sealed.... there are holes on all sides of the case but the bottom.

Kcaz25 04.04.2009 05:05 PM

The board the board is sealed.

brushlessboy16 04.04.2009 05:07 PM
