I’ve bent my fair share of them, but I have never broken them!. I like them and for $54.00 they are defiantly worth it!.. I have broken 6 axel output shaft and have been told that if I used Traxxas stock one, I would break the stock plastic color instead I don’t know?!,

I still like them and they match the build so I'm keeping them..

I've seen your Builds Neil your are so clean you can eat off them (please!) :lol: :wink:

Cleaning compounds:

I start with steel wool 000
Then I use the cleaning wheel (white) on my 8' bench grinder with the following compounds:
Royobi "E" (For cleaning nickel & chrome, stainless steel, brass and copper)
or i use
Mibro #2 Cleaning compound for nickel & chrome, stainless steel, brass and copper

Then I change the pad to the orange (polishing wheel) and use the following compounds:
Royobi "H" for shining to a high gloss hard and soft metals
or
Mibro #6 High gloss polishing compound

then to top it off I'll use Mothers Billet Metal Polish.

So a quick re-cap:
• steel wool
• cleaning coumpound
• polishing compound
• final shine “Mothers” then
• Buff to a high blinding gloss…

It's 3-6 hrs of pure quality time with your RC!.. :intello:

P.S.
This usually works best after a few drinks!.. :wink:

And you need like 30 cloth towels too :whistle:

I have a G3R, too and I am going to switch the Gorilla center front shaft to the Traxxas shaft as you did. I hope you could help me.
What is the part number of the shaft (#5450?)?
I notice the Gorilla center front shaft is so close to the stock servo save mount; probably 2-3 mm apart. Doesn't the Traxxas hit the mount due to the larger diameter? How to solve the porblem? Thank you.

They are strong but still breakable - I keep a stock of shafts in and go through one every one in a while. The RPM arms are too flexible IMO to use with the CVD's

you advice for my FLM-Maxx ?
or MIP ? TSAIS ?

Most people just use Easy Off oven cleaner to remove the anodizing.
