Well not quite that good, I may change it again.

I forgot to say its now just under an inch longer too, I might treat it to a new body actually.

So electronics in, took ages to cram everything in. Speedo (18.97kwf) is too big so had to trim the middle fin out for the prop to run inside it. If anyone knows of a thin speed controller that can take 18 cells/6S with over 100 amp rating and will run the 4 pole Plettenberg please let me know as the schulze gets hot!

Cut some little grooves int eh diff mount to clamp the wires in place and there we are, added some 500,000 diff oil, cant wait to run it now!

The only thing i see that might need improving, is the rear rods. I see where it'd twist under power, maybe a similar setup to the front in the rear and maybe a support in the middle if the rear setup

Lipo's would be a nice addition, but the truck is awesome and no longer a Gmaxx truck

I really got to get into school and learn CAD design

Remind me to get some more Kleenex..

On the esc front, one of Lutach's items wouod be ideal- maybe a little in the wide side, but it is very flat- sure he can supply the dimensions. Otherwise I was thinking an MMM without its case/fan, or do like BrianG did and cut the top of the case off; its easily lower profile than the Schulze even with its full heatsink (famous last words).

I wouldnt mind seeing some of your other designs you were working on / drawings, just out of curiosity, but this design is pretty damn slick, rather like the BPP truggy chassis actually...

:surprised: Just a work of art

I briefly tried cad but i'd rather draw it on a bit of cardboard and then get out there and cutting metal rather than spending hours on a pc and then getting a machine to cut it, but it has its applications for anything more than 1 offs.

I'll be making another chassis soon, more in the style of my lightning pro:

with the brace going around the motor, only reason its so hard on the maxx is the 56 spur gear is massive!

Any ideas how tall the MMM is without the case/ fan?

How much does the lightning weigh RTR? Your builds are top notch, your metalworks are beautiful!

Wow... really nice... you sure have the custom build thing going... Have you compared the performance (power, handling, stability)
of both trucks? which do you prefer? I am glad to see someone else other than myself still using cells...

Great work man

The Bigmaxx is just so beautifull!

Thats what I ment, your chassis doodles on pieces of paper- an insight into the mind of a madman/genius...

As for the MMM measurements, if no-one else checks I'll measure mine tomorrow afternoon when I get home from work. Its well worth considering though, its the best esc I've ever owned, and I've had... 2 (if you dont count the mech units that came with my tamiya madbull and txt-1)...

Candyman2 05.28.2009 06:15 PM

its ok thank you, someone was nice enough to show me a case off mmm.

suicideneil 05.28.2009 07:10 PM

Reckon it would work then?

Candyman2 05.29.2009 12:47 PM

yeh I think so, I might have to get hold of one.
