I have an Electric Brushless Revo that would run circles around this. What do I need this for, because it's waterproof? LOL:lol:
:na: |
All I want to know is will these new trannys bolt up too a G3R? Sure by nice to have the Revo style slipper without having to be one of the lucky few with one of Mike's slipperentials.

hi
my concern is more like if the new tranny just bolts on a revo chassis.. :whistle: bye rhylsadar |
which would be rather close by looking at the pictures.
Too bad there are no exploded views available on the traxxas site yet.. |
Hi Serum
The exploded views are on this page http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec...3905_views.htm check em out, looks pretty interesting to me. :yes: |
Thanks!
i was searching for them, but i kept landing in their commercial.. :) looking at them right now. |
this is something!
he pictures where not deceiving; http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec...-maxx_rear.pdf Check out that diffs. |
@Serum
What's your opinion of the overall makeup? I like the transmission. I'm pretty excited about that. I haven't been able to find any info on the 2 speed "kit" that they mentioned yet. The diffs look alot beefier. I hope they used a tough cup, and improved the spider gears. On the old version, One of the weakest points were the 2mm screws that held the ring gear to the cup. If I'm reading that right, these are 2.5mm screws |
2.5mm? Thats just plain odd. Still, should be easy to upgrade it to 3mm if required. It would also be nice if GorillaMaxx did come out with a revised chassis- new rails & front upper plate I imagine to accomodate the tranny and servos, then stick the esc & rx down the rear end (oh-er mrs).

OK then gorilla needs to get on this right away before I have to throw my G3R's n the closet and buy a couple of these new E-Maxx's. Really need a tranny worth wizzing on for both of my G3R's. |
Theres nothing wrong with the stock Emaxx tranny, once you've stuck an RCM steel idler in there & replaced the weak roll pin holding 1st gear onto the input shaft. But, yes, I want a nice centrally mounted motor too. Damn Im fickle sometimes.....
