And i run 5S on my 7XL, that's pretty insane. I do get a nice runtime though.

An 8 or 9XL would be my choice.

Serum, does your motor get hot?

Serum 09.15.2006 11:39 AM

yes... burning hot...

but it's fast... :p

neweuser 09.15.2006 11:46 AM

I bet! on 5s...18.5 volts! Yeah, real fast! i know my 9xl moves pretty good only geared 16/51! So yours must really move dude!

Serum 09.15.2006 11:51 AM

Voltage doesn't exactly stays 18.5V.. 14.6 is more what it's doing. The reason why i ordered the 5s2p.

Dafni, I have a 9L laying around and while I wait for my Wallet to magically fill up I'd like to run it.

You said you stopped running it because of issues. What were those issues? And did you ever find a suitable gearing for the motor.

If not, I'm not opposed to running brushed for now. What gearing did you use when you ran stock brushed. And did you run 14 cells on an EVX? How were the temps?

Thanks a bunch!

Serum 09.23.2006 02:26 PM

The temps are the issues, and if i remember correct a magnet split on the shaft, which is an isolated case. you can run it on 14 cells. It's a hot setup though. A heatsink and fans might be a wise idea.

So have I, those look like they would be some of the best all around tires.

I'm runing panther boas on hurricane wheels on my G2R and its hooked on everything fron hard packed with dusty top to grass(got a little of everything on this track)

Thunderbruiser 09.28.2006 09:25 PM

should i run alminum hexes? cause i melted a plastic one along with the center of a rim lol

squeeforever 09.28.2006 10:31 PM

Glue the 14mm plastic hexes in the rims. That should help some.

Serum 09.29.2006 01:24 AM

Yeah, CA glue them to the rim. use a wheel-shaft to tighten them while the glue is drying.

E-Maxx King 10.02.2006 12:49 AM
