Sean you suck man!
You had the VXL's like right when they came out, now you have the new maxx on order....Sheesh |
E maxx : Soon to be released Brushless Version?
I was down at my LHS today inquiring when/if he was going to get any of the new E maxx in stock. The guy there informed me that he got an email from Traxxas, and they said there was going to be a brushless version released around December the 30th. I don't know if this is valid or not, because when I questioned him about the system they were going to put on it, he got the stutters.
BUT, they keep talking "Brushless Ready Platform". Could it be? Surely a single VXL system isn't enough and two systems is too expensive for the general public. Hmmmmmm...........thoughts guys? |
what about novak thoght traxxas and novak were close companys so it might be a HV maxx or castle creations BL motor
|
Brushless E-Maxx will be available in December.
|
Dual VXL's
Would you guys believe that? Or a single BL system? Dual just sounds cool, but dumb at the same time...... I think I will stick with the MMM set up |
I am sure Novak and Traxxas don't work together anymore. Which is why Traxxas now have there own 1/10 BL system (VXL), and there own monster truck ESC (EVX2).
I think the new BL system from Traxxas will have a single motor because of the way they designed the motor mount on the new E-Maxx, where the motor will be in the center of the chassis. December 30th...? I can't wait!! I just hope its waterproof like this one, and I'll be all over it. |
hi
the guy from maxamp said in the rcu that this twin vxl e maxx should be out in december. he also said that trx have connected the two esc so that they run synchron. it will be interesting to see how they have done that. bye rhylsadar |

To clear things up a little...posted by Zinno, a traxxas employee, on the traxxas forum:
"Gentlemen, I'm not sure where these rumors have started, but there will not be a V-Twin E-Maxx in December. The reason we brought the V-Twin Concept truck to the show was to guage interest and show hobbyists what could be possible. What we had said is that if there was overwhelming demand, we may take the truck into production. This should not be confused with us saying "The truck will be here in December" which seems to be thought on the forums. What we are saying however, is that the new 3905 E-Maxx will be available in time for Christmas around the beginning of December, so keep your orders in place- there may not be many to go around." Take it as you will, but I tend to believe a traxxas employee versus anyone's LHS salesguy. |
I would guess a 550 size single motor setup where it's an RTR. Probably the equivalent of an 8XL. Hopefully they go with a 4s-capable controller; 3s and a 6XL equivalent would get kinda hot, 3s and a 9XL would be kinda slow...

More then likely. No matter what system they put in there. It will most likely get changed out for something different. People don't want to have the same thing as the next for want to be better.
