The seller says they are in Hacienda Heights, California. I'm about 30 miles from there currently. A field trip might be in order. :)

Edit: Lutach, I see you had a problem setting it to car mode? Did you see this here:

http://www.xmseller.com/escprogrammcardmenu/

Looks like it's supposed be be usable for car mode there. I might give them a call and find out, since they're close. Apparently they're a hobby shop somewhere in LA, which I'll be close to for another 3 weeks or so.

That looks like the same 1 I linked to before, but the link doesn't work. Like this .http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...248309623&rd=1 I'd like to see if they'd work,I think you could put a big enough fan on it.

i have bought my self one of this kit´s for my e-maxx...
if the motor will be enough for the truck i don´t know but it values de price because de esc and program card...

now my doubt is if the motor can handle my 2 cells 8.4v 4300 nimh´s connect in serie or paralel.....
or should i try first with one or buy a 4s lipo?since they say the motor handle 15v...

regards

Yes, but when I bought the little ESC, it wasn't the car AD model. I do have the big 120A one and it did kind of OK, but I don't like how we have to set up minimum throttle everytime we power up. I will try it again to see how it does with a 2 pole motor.

Sleebus bought the motor from me. He can tell you how it behaves in his buggy.

When I still had it, it ran fine on 4S A123. Tons of torque.

sleebus.jones 06.29.2008 10:19 PM

I run it on 3S A123 and it's a great motor. Lots of torque and very smooth. I like it.

timaneli 06.30.2008 04:31 AM

it´s a risk a will take to put this motor in a e-maxx but if i went the single vxl setup will take the same risk...
let´s see if it handle 14 cells nimh´s!!

thank´s for tell me about the motor!!
and the esc is handle good even with other motors??

regards

Yes, the mamba works fine with other motors.

Did anyone see the true rc one yet? Is this the ebay one?http://home.comcast.net/~truerc/esc/escNmotor.htm Scroll down to the very bottom.

It is the exact same one. I still can't believe they are being sold for $100 withou the program box. If I started bringing this in, I would just sell it for $100 with the program box. Plus I would have full report with video and data to show how well it does with different motors, plus charge a very low s/h.

what other motors have you try on this esc and wich voltage or lipo´s do have use on them?

i am asking that because i have bought this 1:10 brushless combo that i wanto to run with 4s lipo´s!!

link of the kit:

I am only able to run low kv motors on mine. It handles 4s A123 well. I had to swap out 2 fets and replace the caps on mine, after I blew it running with a different motor. It has worked ever since though.

I don't have one yet. I said "If I started bringing them in". I spoke with the manufacturer and they are supposed to be sending me a 6S and a 10S model for testing.
