cells come off warm, bout the same as they come off my charger. I need more airflow, I dont have any holes in the shell at the moment.

UPDATE TIME

Fitted some new boots, trucks feels a lot more urgent now, wheelies a lot easier, i think it was spinning my tired bowties before.

got a temp gun at last and after a normal run the motor came off at 155f , cells 110f and speedo 105f......... is that good? i have no idea.

Those temps sound good... Those new shoes are sexy!

suicideneil 08.29.2009 08:14 PM

Hot motor + cool esc & batts = undergeared, you can afford to gear up a little bit if you want to, but overall those are very good temps, especially for the nimhs; ones I used to run with the hvmaxx always came off a run scorching hot

For airflow, I would cut out the rest of front grill, then replace it with a fine mesh- lots of airflow + it looks like a real mesh grill = sexy. http://www.beatyourtruck.com/forum/i...ilies/cool.gif

...damn thats sexy :D

...i have been getting higher temps with low-profile tires like that too so maybe keep that in mind...GREAT truck though...always impressive :D

What would you probably get for that car, if you put it on eBay?

But that car looks sooooooooooooooooooooo cool. I'm planning to buy a Proxxon Mini Mill the end of the year, and HOPEFULLY HOPEFULLY I'll get a cool motor mount or something like that for my LST  And HOPEFULLY it'll look as nice as yours, but that won't come out I think

Had a pretty big crash last week due to several factors:

1) big power
2) very grippy tyres
3) me pushing it.

It grips soooo much with these new tyres im not used to it, I've gone back to 100k in the center diff now to give me some control, now it will accelerate flat or pop a wheelie if I stab the throttle, perfect! The front tyres do baloon a bit more than I would like but its either that or lower the power on the MMM........ na.

Short vid of me tentatively getting used to the new diff setup!

The truck looks awesome man... Nice work.

suicideneil 09.12.2009 04:30 PM

Nice and controllable in the vid. Any nasty carnage as a result of the crash?

Candyman2 09.12.2009 05:47 PM

bent my wheelie bar (10mm thick aluminium) and snapped a cvd axle, pretty heavy crash. Made me feel a bit ill actually, like i hurt it, stupid i know but its been with me a long time and I felt like I had mistreated it! Thought the RSPCT would come and get me

aqwut 09.13.2009 01:53 AM

Great Video, glad you're happy with your new setup..:)

suicideneil 09.13.2009 09:45 AM

 I know the feeling, hence why Im planning on a much cheaper & smaller vehicle to be my basher, these damn maxxes are too expensive to bash them about like I'd like too.

Candyman2 02.26.2011 03:28 PM

I have just finished my new chassis

suicideneil 02.26.2011 03:42 PM

I was wondering if you were working on that after you finished RoboCain, you've been quiet for a little while...

Pictures please!

ANGRY-ALIEN 02.26.2011 03:49 PM
