BL_RV0 12.13.2008 11:57 AM

No, that was an epic fail, ben.

brushlessboy16 12.13.2008 12:28 PM

Not even close.. working on a motor mount in CAD so i can have it machined.

Whats the difference between 7075 and 6061 aluminum?

BL_RV0 12.13.2008 12:40 PM

7075 is harder, stronger, harder to work with and a tad heavier.

tom255 12.13.2008 02:06 PM

there are 3 kinds of 7075 Al and T6 grade its pretty expensive too at least in europe. 6061-T6 will do job fine as motor mount about 8-6mm thick

Takedown 12.13.2008 02:50 PM

I 2nd that. 6061 aluminum is very rigid. Its what swami-rc uses for his swami bars. I landed on that thing so many times on cement from atleast 10-15feet up and it didnt even bend a little.

BL_RV0 12.13.2008 03:45 PM

That's with a ~4-5lb rustler though.
