don't worry, your brother will kick ur *ss when you get better.... Glad you're okay... the car's replaceable..

lol, thanks. He's actually okay with it, he hated that car

No flashbacks yet since I blacked out, but my parents are making me see the car on friday to really let it set in and make me never screw up again.

Glad to hear you’re OK. I had an EMT license for a while. Some of the crashes you see are nuts. I have seen crashes that there is no way people could have lived yet they walk away. Then there are people who trip on a crack in the side walk and die. I heard about a statistic once that said seat belts have a 50% chance at saving your life. There are just as many accidents where seat belts hold you in place when it would be better to be thrown out. I don’t think I believe it. I personally wear mine. It’s better to be held in place in my experience from what I have seen. Keep your chin up.

As for the 20+ I still love to open my VW TDI up on the flat stright roads in the middle of Nevada. 27 years old doesn't hold me back from 140 mph.

Yeah, Hickory, your right about at the testosterone peak age. In ten years, you'll look back on what said and just shake your head.

Supra, glad your ok, and also glad nobody else was hurt. You insurance is going to take a huge hit.

Insurance costs were what first made me start to think about how I drove. When you end up having to call no-name insurance places, you've got a problem.

Dang I thought this was a porn thread.

Seriously I am glad you are ok!!.

I am a reformed street racer. I saw a guy get hit by another guy racing at 80+mph. He was crossing the street to challenge a friend of mine to a race. He never made to the other side. It was not a pretty sight or sound. I have not street raced since. I autocrossed my '72 Corvette...with a helmet...and a seatbelt.

yeesh, tell me about it. my parents are (rightfully) making me pay any increase, which is going to be minimum about 1000 bucks a year.

Hmm, I must not be at that point yet, and I'm 35. I guess I just haven't hit that peak yet. Seriously, when I feel like being stupid, I try to do it somewhat responsibly by choosing areas that are less prone to issues (no trees, telephone poles, people, cars, etc).
