Nope wasn't an emaxx. It was a four wheel drive car. I still thought that it was pretty fast. http://www.rccaraction.com/rc/articles/need_speed.asp
Here is the link if you like to read about it.

That's the tc3 of Mr. Cliff Litt who is the leader of the R&D department of AE. He used a 12 turn brushed motor with cobalt magnets and a brushed speed controller supposed to handle 7 cells at most, but he put 14 cells all at once and used a 4.?:1 FDR, however, the car was able to reach 96mph and not 110 mph, but it was the rc10l3 modified version of the usual ones which made an amazing 111mph using 24 cells with an AVEOX sensored brushless motor and a 2.4:1 FDR. I believe that a pan car with a modern brushless system like a 1930/5 motor and only 12-14 cells would be able to push the pan car beyond 100mph with absolute ease. I thought of missing around with my own l3 and bolt in a Kontronik fun-500-2700(kv) along with a pack of 22 cells and use a 1.9:1 FDR, but its quite costy and that is why I'm going to try my luck with the B4/1930 5T/ 14cells setup and see if I'm able to push it as fast as 87-89mph like when Mr. Cliff pushed his tc3 to 96mph using a typical brushed motor with a pair of magnets which I believe them to be weaker than the neodym magnets that are been used nowadays in sensorless brushless motors. Also I need to find a way to increase the center of gravity of my B4 and make the clearance of the chassis as low as 5-8mm. O'God grant me luck.

IF you run the lipo packs seem you would loose some weight and gain some speed. Less make it easier for motor to push it to the speed. I can't imagine a rc going that fast. IT is flying. I watched the tether car video to. I know they don't drive them but man. 200mph. It is a blur. I save all the video I can. I love to watch them. It is neat.

The one that made 200 mph was tying the car with a rope and rotating it inside a sircular track. I dont wnt to be tied......I want to FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. See you later Coolhandcountry.

You have to admit 200mph is good. tied or not. Get a video of that flying if you can. I would love to see it.

If you have got the 36120 and the 2280 lets see what 36 cells on a Tamiya grasshopper will do Coolhand..

captain harlock 09.03.2005 07:19 PM

You went toooooo far, Serum.

What is a grass hopper? I not sure. It sounds like it would be a killer set up. If I get the stuff. You help me build and shoot the video. :)

captain harlock 09.04.2005 11:05 AM

You really dont want to try it out, buddy. The grass hopper is an ancient buggy(2wd) made by Tamiya in the late 70s-early 80s. You dont even have a place to put 32 cells not even 8cells and the drive train as well as the suspension system would be easily destroyed by a normal brushless setup like a 5300/9920. It was a joke, though, what serum said.
