Q. if we cant see the real thing yet, can we see some pics of your truggy/buggy, that they based the design from?.... :D
|
^ +1!
|
Gotta check with the boss... PM me if interested. Thanks.
|
You can see pics of it on their website. It has words in front of the images though, so you can't see everything clearly. Looks pretty good from what I can see.
You can get on the pre-order list for $10 too. Buggy will come "VERY soon" followed by the truggy. |
That's a pic of my car we sent to get copied.
btw, it's made for the Neu finned can motors to be a perfect fit. |
dang it, apparently i can't see pic on my work pc
|
I'd be tempted to get one of those when they come out but parts availability would suck for me.
|
Here's what Caster lists for the Australia distributor. If they are anything like CasterUSA , parts should be pretty easy to get even if you have to get them direct from your distributor.
JPM Racing Unit 14/116-118 McCredie Rd Guildford NSW 2161 Australia Phone:61 2 9799 8181 Fax: 61 2 9716 7525 email :jpatane@jpmracing.com.au website : www.jpmracing.com.au A lot of Mugen (and other Mugen-inspired cars) parts work also. I don't know exactly what parts DON"T fit... but I think most do. |
Guess what! I went into my new local RC store (I'm excited about having a local store) and they were trying to sell me.... wait for it..... a caster buggy. So not the electric version but still a caster buggy. Now I am really interested though. Any more news on this buggy? I want one. Being able to buy it and get parts locally will be great

PM me... I can let you know when they are available, etc...... but not sure about what the Australia dist will be doing with the car. It's scheduled for early June release.

GD,
Can you tell us if the first buggy kit released will have motor/esc/radio/etc? Is it going to be ARTR or a total kit? I saw on their forum that it's supposed to be priced like the ZX-1R pro kit, which appears to be $500 now on sale for $425. Do you think that's the retail or the actual price we'll be paying? Sorry for all the questions. I'm quite curious about it. Thanks. |
LHS pricing on the ZX-1R is @ $400
The $500/425 is only on the casterusa site and it's higher than the suggested street price to encourage people to buy from their LHS. The goal is to have the Fusion EX-1R pro type kit for the same price. We may also have the "sport" roller kit as a cheaper option to the "pro" kit. I don't know what the price would be on that yet. The RTR is not done yet so I don't have any idea what the motor/esc will be or what the cost will be. I would guess it will be a little more than the nitro RTR but we will have to wait and see. I need to find out some of this soon.... |
I have sent you a PM glassdoctor. My poor nitro savage is going to be on the chopping block very soon.
|
i watched a castor zx-1r nitro run at the track and it looked awesome very smooth buggy, looked like it went effortlessly through the turns, this one had the ofna 16mm bigbore shocks on it and he took second place and didnt break anyhting all day unlike a few other very well known cars did.
any updates on this baby, and could i post the pictures i found on another site in a press relaese? it has two different views of the buggy i assumed they used to copy to make theirs. ??? |
Cool... yes the Caster cars are good. Feel free to post pics, no problem. The pics of the chassis with red springs is the prototype car. The one with the blue springs is what the factory is working on still.
The production car will have the sweet black anno CNC treatment... and I'm asking for a sport roller kit also, like the one in the pic (blue springs) with the "natural" anno stamped pieces. Still no firm ETA, etc.... :( |
