neu 1515 1/y/f
MMM (all the default settings except 20% drag brake and low motor timing)
5s 8000mah true rc lipo
CC BEC set at 6.0v

And so far after taking it to the track and bashing with it over the past 2 days and running the 5s 8000 down to the cutoff (around 45min) my monster is still going strong :yipi: i actually spent more time fixing the stuff i broke  after over shooting my landing on the triple one too many times and throwing caution to the wind when bashing :mdr: but so far so good....2 cycles through it and its performing awesome!!!!! :yipi: and of course i disabled the BEC and am using CC's BEC until my other MMM comes back form castle.....so far so good  a lot more successful than my first MMM :grrrrrr:..and castle does have excellent customer service as Joe immediately emailed me about my dead monster and a replacement is on the way

Thanks for the great news. So when your new one arrives your hooking up the internal BEC again and seeing if that one dies?

hootie7159 05.17.2008 03:37 AM

yeah...i'm gonna wait until my other mmm comes back until the test the internal BEC of the one i got form mike....but so far with the CC BEC it's working excellent...i esp. like the braking ability and the temps this esc puts my whole system at :yipi:

Would the MMM still be able to connect to the PC with the red wire disconnected for the BEC?

you have to put back the red wire to have it connected to the pc or it will not link ,i did test it again yesterday bashing it full throttle ,crawling reverse slow throttle you name it and absolutely no problems at all this esc rocks............. cannot wait for this coming sunday next week to race against my nitro buggies and nitro truggies..... cannot wait for them to get their butt whopped

Finally got the chance to test my truggy on the track, it has more than enough power and speed to run on the track but i really like it A LOT :yipi:
WE have around 150 feet straight and i can have my truggy therein the other end in no time with a little over half the throttle ,speed probably reaching around 40 mph, ballistic speeds and absolutely no problems with my MMM with external rx pack with BEC disabled so far.No heat issues all system been running cool to warm only unable to check with my temp gun.One guy commented that "your truggy is ridiculously fast" like sickening fast,he seen my other brushless set ups on 4 s lipos like my revo but never commented like this before:mdr:
