Thanks, the first write up was funny! I do like the second setup, mainly cause I do not have to build anything. I may have to order one and see how it does. I would also like to put a back light on my mrc 989 chargers.

The first write-up left out the current-limiting resistor. Leaving that out reduces the LEDs life. The only thing saving those LEDs is that the supply voltage is a little lower than their true Vf value (typically around 3.6v).

Also, you can make things a little easier by using rectangular LEDs instead, but I've only seen those type in red (which have a different voltage of around 2v if memory serves).

I dont think I have seen any skins for your radio, im sure there some made, but I dont recall seeing any


The CF skin is cool, but boring IMO, id go for something wild and fun... Now that I bought one skin from upgrade, I have the template, had my mom copy it bla bla, so all I have to do is figure out a new scheme, and get some vinyl and print it out, and my mom also has the cutter:na: So I just need to finish what I started

If anyone is thinking of buying a wrap, there super nice (atleast the upgrade ones) dont peel off, dont get dirty, worth the money

I actually found the blue flame skin for both radios from horizon, so I will have matching radios! Not really partial to any of the other skins, but i do like the flame designs.
