What about the R1Pro? I know some have used it on 5s in a truggy. I don't have any experience with it yet, but I would think it would handle a Maxx nicely. The videos for the forthcoming R8 in a Maxx were just a R1Pro.
Smooth throttle control, U.S. support, and available now. Plus it's alot smaller than the MMM. May need to add a fan, though.

jhautz is actually using a r1pro in one of his 1/8 buggies and really likes it. I am pretty sure he is running 5s as well. Hopefully he will comment on what else he did to it. I think he added an external BEC, sometimes runs a fan, but I am not sure if he added any caps... please correct me if I am wrong. |
