I got my Traxxas E-REVO two days ago.....Just removed the stock electronics and installed some components I had laying around the garage:

Feigao 9L Brushless motor
Quark 80B Brushless controller
I was planning for 5S Lipo and didn't have Battery Elim. Ckt. (BEC) so installed rcvr. pack
Spektrum SR3100 required "y" cable.

It was neat that Traxxas receiver had two inputs for steering servo. The SR3100 does not so I had to run to the hobby shop for a Y cable.

Just got it all programmed and ready! I'll post pictures later.

Stum!!

That is a sweet looking REVO conversion! Who's conversion pkg did you use or is it all custom? Is that the Mamba Maxx Monster I see on top? They seem to be sold out everywhere.

I like the shelf that your MMM sits (use to sit ) on. Is that something you worked up yourself? It would be nice to have a shelf above the front and rear shocks for some extra room.

Yes my custom job.. bought a new 3.3 roller ~260 I think, then sold off all nitro parts, sold off the tranny etc etc.. bare boned it.. after that I had about 100.00 into a new roller. Then I picked up a emaxx 3905 tranny, radio box and long center drive shaft, some new era battery trays did a little dremel work and used a few rivets and viola! My beautiful e-Revo :)

Lots of detail on this thread HERE on the entire process... a few updates in there as well with more recent updates.. very easy to do iMO and pretty cheap other than the 1.5d really.. but I stared with an 8xl myself before that upgrade. The battery tray is from my rustler and on that link is full detail on my final build of it.. there were two versions.. once I hit the track I had to sturdy it up a bit :)

Ok Stum,
You showed us yours, now here's mine. I took the easy way out. I bought a Traxxas E-Revo and swapped out the electronics with some parts I had laying around. Here's a couple pix:

Why the rx pack?

BEC or Receiver pack required?

Stum,
According to the manual for the Quark 80 ESC that I used, the built-in battery eliminator circuit (BEC) only works up to 4S (14.8Volts). I am running 5S (18.2 Volts). To run 5S or 6S they recommend using an external Battery Eliminator Circuit, and cutting the red wire from the ESC to the receiver. Basically they are saying the built-in BEC can't guarantee a steady 6volts if you are feeding the ESC more than 14.8 volts.

Since I didn't have a BEC laying around and my hobby shop doesn't sell them, I used a receiver pack from an old TMaxx instead. I'll get a BEC after pay day.

I couldn't follow your conversion stum, I even posted a bunch on questions on the thread here on RCM that didn't really get answered.. I got the 3905 'box and the hole in the revo chassis is already too big - short of making a custom plate to screw the gearbox too, then bolting that plate to the 3.3 chassis I cant see how to make it fit.. IT looks like you used some big washers that kind of clamp onto the chassis on one side of the washer... does that sound right? I tried it like that and the tranny wasn't fixed in very well...
