That's what tekno says, down to the hand wound rotor.

from what I have heard the motor turns easier than the the regular Neu so I think there have been other adjustments made and I have heard this was to help start up performance ( cogging)...I have a non Tekno Neu that I am happy with...maybe when I have a couple of benjamins burning a hole in my pocket I will try one out...who knows I will be in Vegas over the 4th of July to play some Texas Hold Um.... :-)

The easier-to-turn motors must mean the slots are wider or not as focused as the old Neus.

I like this bearing idea alot. I might try messing with this a bit. I'm thinking a 5x10x4mm flanged bearing would work perfectly if the back side of the motor front plate were milled out to accept the flange, the bearing couldnt fall out without taking the plate off, yet still very easy to remove for maintenece.
