If you are looking for durability dont get the ofna MBX. IMO MBX=POS. Never had a worse buggy. Bought it, converted it, broke it repatedly, sold it. Finally happy. I guarntee the slash will be a better than the MBX. If you still want a good tough buggy for a basher just go with the Hyper 7. I think they still sell the TQ. Its way better/tougher than the MBX and its pretty close in price if I remember. Just my opinion.

The hyper buggies are tons better than the various hognor (mbx, ultra, 9.5) buggies. I like the GTP, but that is on road, and does not take a beating like an off road buggy.

I have a feeling that it will be very fun to drive. Looks like the suspension is lowered a bit, so the cg should be considerably lower than a revo. Maybe closer to a buggy. It should be better at mixed bashing than a buggy, if not as stable. The full body is my favorite. How much bigger is it going to be than the slash? Is it any bigger?

my thoughts exactly. it will be a blast to drive on dirt. the 4wd will help with drifting

I don't want a longer wheelbase, it just was weird that the Slash wheelbase was larger than the Slayer.

I just said MBX since it is the cheapest buggy I could find quickly. I guess the price is justified. The point being a buggy platform would probably work better and be more durable out of the box.

I just want the Slash/Slayer look in 4WD. I have the Slash already, and it's fun, but it's time for 4WD.

Just came across this .

Thinking about buying one and converting it . As stated previously it's the same as a Revo , not taking into account shorter suspension etc.

So can i assume correctly that all the conversion gear for a Revo will work in this , such as engine mounts , tranny etc .
What about just using the E Revo gear ?

If that's the case i'll start reading up on the Revo conversions from this site.

Different arms and wheels, slightly different transmission gearing (the intermediate and output gears are a tad different), and a 2.5 chassis is about all there is to it AFAIK.
