I will offer the Revo front and rear for those in the need. Later this month i will list them in the store.
MacII - I am working on a center diff tranny as we speak. I should have a prototype any day now.

squeeforever 10.10.2005 10:03 PM

gonna have a picture?

RC-Monster Mike 10.10.2005 10:06 PM

Picture of the center diff tranny? Yes, I will have a picture at some point. Need the proto first, though!

This G2R X is going to be one sweet ride when it's all said and done.

I have to admit, I've been so pro-electric that I know next to nothing about the (nitro based) Revo...are the diffs and sliders up to brushless power? Or, like the E-Maxx, does it require lots of strenght upgrades to handle the HP?

gorillamaxx 10.10.2005 10:33 PM

I'll try to catch a few of the loose questions...

The price is still up in the air - I'm waiting for some costs to come in still. Since it is similar to the G2 chassis with skids and a few extra upper plates, you should be able to get a rough idea by doing the math.

Blue pads - We felt that since the Revo has several blue parts in the suspension blue would work well. If you must have black pads you can get them from the replacement parts list ($6.00)

Straps - The basic kit will come with our new G3-XL straps in black. Likewise, you will be able to get a blue set separately. The G3-XL's are similar but made with 1" wide material and have double seams at the joints.

Titans - I got it ;)

squeeforever 10.10.2005 10:47 PM

do yall plan on making a suspension kit for the revo like g3 race suspension for the maxx?

crazyjr 10.10.2005 11:31 PM

One thing at a time Squee. We don't even have a chassis yet (I know they're in production). You got to walk before you run into a wall

The Revo suspension is good enough though.. Its the suspension of Revo that makes it looks, handle and perform different from other MT.

Drrooooollllll
Very Very nice George, I'll have to add links to this bad boy on other forums whenever I can...
I got a brand new Revo tranny waiting...

Question, Is the extra 1" length all on one side, front or rear, or spread between the two. The reason I ask is that I have drive cups and a few dogbones but need to know the correct length(s).

Mike, I'm very interested to see the prototype center diff tranny too.

coolhandcountry 10.11.2005 05:53 AM

Is the straps differentfrom the ones on the gmaxx now?

Serum 10.11.2005 06:59 AM

Yeah, Mike, tell me more about the prototype! ;)

RC-Monster Mike 10.11.2005 07:24 PM

The straps are a little wider and a bit stronger than the current velcro straps. I have been using double straps for a while, but the new strap is wider and seems to get the job done with a single strap equally as well as the double straps I have been using.
The additional length is in the front. The required bones will be offered(already mentioned). I used an 85 mm and a 101mm bone on the prototypes. 84mm and 102 mm will likely be the final size, pending a test fit when they arrive.

I will post some pictures of the diff/tranny prototype when I can. The goal is to get it to work in the g-maxx chassis, as well as a stock e-maxx style chassis, and possibly in truggy/savage/mgt /1/8 buggy conversions with some additional mounting hardware.
It takes time, though!
