I charge 3s2p packs on my hypersonic charger just fine.

Arct1k: It's your evil doppleganger...
Linc: Can't blackmail me - I've got no dirt and nothing to lose. Want my ex? Take her (please). Want my house? Take it. Want the car? OK. But if you touch any of my R/C stuff, prepare to lose some appendages - the number lost will depend on my mood. |

Does it take twice as long? I am guessing the charger has a fixed output on the cc phase. |

Adding the fan to the case did wonders for me while charging outside in the Texas heat. |

Romano, do you think a 5s2p a123 packs will perform better with 100amp loads than a pair of trakpower 4900mah 25c 2s lipos in series? What kind of v drop can I expect? Setup is a gtp on road with a kb45 8l geared for about 45-48mph... Thanks! |
I would say that performance capability would be the same, but the A123 will outlast the trakpower by 10x.
2P pack under 100A will run great. I have data on a 5s1p pack, which is 96.09A@11.89V. Voltage ofcourse would be a bit higher with a 2p pack(3V higher I think), and would also stay cooler. |

I have a rustler that I need to finish that will run a quark 5000kv motor with a 3s a123 pack. I would like to see how it does on 1p first, as I am trying to keep the weight down... |
That funny as I'm converting my 3s2p and 2s2p packs into 6s1p for my revo...
PS This year's bash will be held on Sunday, September 28th. RCDriver will attend and cover the race this year as well! |
3s A123 with the quark should run nice. You will only see longer run times with a 2P pack. If you gear high, then the 2P will be beneficial speed wise.
Yesterday I ran the B50 5s hacker with 3s A123 on the hacker sport ESC and needless to say I smoked the ESC within a minute of use. The thing just melted away. In my Rustler, I snap the HPI dogbones with 6s A123 and heavy beatlocks wheels. Will be going over to the heavy duty HPI dogbone setup this Saturday. When the MGM 16024 comes in, I'll be running 7s A123 in the Rustler and see how well it holds up. |
