I like the longer link my sef. It stays parrellal through the whole range of motoion. I have my servo mounted reverse from yours.
I like the ends you have. they look tough. How do they hold up.

Sneeck 10.25.2005 11:12 AM

They are aluminum m4 with stainless steel m4 rod. I think i'll break the servo horn first, this thing is sturdy.

The only down side of mounting it this way is that the rod is at an angle, to clear the front driveshaft. But that doesn't seem to worry my 5955tg.

Crap Sicco, that is one serious draglink...

Sneeck 10.25.2005 12:24 PM

Heh it work's:D

Serum 10.25.2005 12:30 PM

No doubt dude... what railroad did you use?

How do you like your hitec so far?

Sneeck 10.25.2005 12:48 PM

Hitec is awesome, doesn't seem to have trouble moving around 40 serie's. Hell, with 333 oz of torq it shouldn't have any trouble moving around 40 serie's.

Money well spend i'd say.

Serum 10.25.2005 12:52 PM

Those 40 series are not the mass i am worried about Sicco.. ;) :p

Sneeck 10.25.2005 12:56 PM

It's not the mass, it's the contact area the tire makes with the ground. The bigger the tire, the bigger that area, more traction, the more force it need's to move.

Talking speed wise this thing is awesome. Seem's to be just as fast as my previous 5945. No idea yet if it's reliable or not, ran her for no more then 5 time's yet. No problem's so far, finger's crossed. If it dies on me i'm finnished with hitec.

Serum 10.25.2005 03:34 PM

I meant the mass of your subtile draglink.. that's the mass i was worried about.

coolhandcountry 10.25.2005 07:37 PM

I got that same hitec servo. I agree it is awesome and money will spent. That is a massive drag link. I don't have a problem with mine hitting any of my drive line. I have the ue servo saver to. It may be something different in between trucks.

I see the difference. You have your servo on top. I have mine on bottom. Mine clears the shaft no problem. I even had a plastic shaft in at one time with clearance. If it is working keep running. :D

Can I ask what brand of aluminum servo horn you guys are using?

Are any preferrable over others or are all pretty much the same?

Thanks again!

The servo horn on my sons truck is from racers edge I think. JR/Hitec make their own as well. Just get one for the servo that you have. I have not heard of any reports of one horn being "better" than another.

For servo He has got the JR z650, and for my rig...Hitec-5955TG

coolhandcountry 10.25.2005 08:21 PM

coolhandcountry 10.25.2005 08:44 PM
