1515 2.5d/f on 5s on quark 125b :)
|
I'll be running a Neu, probably a 1515 2.5d or a similar motor with a Tekin R1 Pro on 5s Elite 5300 30C on my CRT
|
My Losi Muggy:
MGM 16018 Tekno RC Neu 1515 1.5D 2x 2s 8k Maxamps and 1x 5s Zippy-H 5k lipos 13 tooth pinion on stock 46T spur Stock-sized tires for now, going to Badlands when they wear out (probably be able to gear up when I lose these heavy suckers). |
How do you like the Tekno Neu? Have you had a OG Neu to compare?

I plan to buy a Tekno 2.5D and drop it in my Muggy and move the 1.5D to my Hyper, IMO it's better suited to Buggies because they're lighter and have much smaller and lighter tires. Overall the quality and power is simply amazing, I will not go back to cheap motors again. You get what you paid for, and in the case of a Neu motor that is no exception. It's worth saving your $$$ another paycheck or two to step up to a Neu (unless you are looking at a Medusa, they are supposed to be fairly close in performance for half the cost). Neu motors are a 10/10 in my book, I absolutely love this motor. |
I have got a MMM and the castle 1515 1y (basically the combo)
running on 5s zippy lipo in a Cen Matrix Tr Fre runs a tad warm geared for 50ish  |
hi! TDC57
my xt8 16018 a123 7s 1515 1y(2200kv) 13/48 It is still maximum 210A present value 150A. The kind of mgm? Is ESC all right in 18T? |
This thread would be great if gearing was listed along with motor kv. I'm currently running 5s MMM NEU 1515/1/y/f. Losi, 50 spur 10 pinion, 43/10 drive. It's too much.
Would I be better off running a 1515/2/y with a 16 tooth pinion? I only want to hit about 28 mph. The 1515/1/Y/F TEKNO geared 48/10 on 4s was perfect, but was not getting enough run time to finish mains, so I went with a 5s 50/10, but it's too fast for the track. Or should I go 1515/2.5/D 48/10? |
I don't have a truggy but this is a thread you guys should be looking at and posting your setups in! http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6423 It's a sticky, easy for everyone to find and tons of info in it already!
