i saw this company on another thread and this guy does custom carbon fiber pieces specifically for RC car stuff. i have heard he is great to work with and can make just about any custom piece if you send him specs or prototype. he may be a good source for your mass produced line if you follow that too. but at least he can fab that one piece i bet. check it out: http://www.da-graphite.com/company.html

Metalman can defiantly make it for you!..

Side note!!! :intello:
THAT THING IS BADD ASS.... WOW you continue to pump out these first class / top notch builds..

Great job sir, I cant wait to see the video..:eyes:

Wouldnt mind seeing some CAD models to see the differences- this is going to be a very special and sought after chassis for sure..

plettenbergs 11.11.2008 08:05 AM

the front and rear clip are removable so for "a few dollars more" i can send you VBS and standard(stock emaxx bulkhead application) front corbon fiber or aluminum clips!

George16 11.11.2008 09:50 AM

That is awesome. I will go with that route then so if I feel installing my VBS, it will just be a cinch.

Is it 7075T6 or 6061T6?

plettenbergs 11.11.2008 01:25 PM

6061T6...3mm carbon fiber

feistyacorn 11.11.2008 01:31 PM

This thing is soooo bad ass!!! What would be required to complete one? How much would it cost? That chassis is one work of art!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you mentioned going with a robinson racing slipper- the t-maxx slipper is 32 pitch, while the monster gt rr slipper is the more favorable mod 1 pitch. Mounting on both is identical. The only drawback is that the mgt slipper only comes with a 54 tooth spur gear which is 56mm in diameter. The mgt is the way to go, I just don't know if space will allow for it.

George16 11.11.2008 06:26 PM

The MGT comes in 46, 49, and 52T. You can drill 3 new holes in order to mount the MGT spur to the tmaxx slipper or use a strobe slipper with a 51T Ofna spur.

plettenbergs 11.11.2008 08:44 PM

i have both(mgt and tmaxx slipper) in my bag of goodies...the MGT might win due to smaller diamiter!...if it is too large it will protrude through the bottom of the chassis requiring a custom spur gear skid!...i am taking several over tomorrow for fitment!(is that a word?)...FYI:the shaft is 8mm

the mgt comes in more sizes than that when you include kimbrough and delrin spurs, however, we are talking specifically about the robinson racing slipper and spur, which only comes in 54 tooth
