I'm not allowed to tell you that the sensor usage is fully automatic, and that it uses a hybrid sensored/sensorless system. I'm also not allowed to mention C.H.E.A.T. mode (Castle High Energy Advanced Timing) which can boost output power by up to 40% for short bursts when using ROAR type racing motors. (trades power for efficiency in racing applications -- on demand.) I can't tell you about the 25mm integrated fan, which is removable for use in dirty or dusty environments. (For BrianG) There's also a switching, programmable output 5 amp BEC (adjustable from 4.0V to 7.0V in .1V increments), which I am not allowed to tell you about. Oh, and one more thing -- I'm not allowed to tell you that it is usable up to 6S input voltages. So stop bugging me, I'm not allowed to tell you anything about this product. |

J/K, thanks for not telling us anything, I do appreciate it. Any chance you can not tell us what kind of current spec it may have? |

Well I'm not allowed to tell you that either, BUT I can direct you to a website with answers. http://www.castlecreations.com/csp/c...ntrollers.html But you didn't hear that from me! |
Way to go guys now I have to yell at Pat in the morning for giving away secrets and then hope he doesnt fire me for yelling. :diablo: At least he didnt mention that its powerful enough to push an 1/8 scale around with no mods and yet can also run a sensored stock motor with the best of them.

Ooooh...this thing sounds awesome! C.H.E.A.T has really gotten my attention...and an adjustable BEC? Man, that's even better than the Monster's. Sounds like the only step-down from the Monster will be current handling, which would obviously make sense.
Sounds like a formiddable unit... |
I do like the sound of this esc... I need a few for my clod and other crawlers so I can run some low kv sensored inrunners... Pity that I do not have a neu based motor with a sensor setup to choose from... Maybe a 1406 sized motor with an 1/8 shaft, kv around 1100...
|
If you are using something sensor based, why not just pop up to 2000kv and get more power? Keep in mind that a slotted motor like the neu will start up with a good pop as it breaks the magnet/slot attraction. It won't be as smooth and slow as a normal roar sensored motor.
