sick!!! and after you get done with the speed runs and such you can add a few body posts/fonrt /rear bumpers and BAM! you have the first ever losi sc8ight....

FYI: I ran the 1515 2.5d on 10s in my Ultra GTP and the motor handled it fine. The HV110 ESC handled it ok for a while, but one of the input caps literally exploded spattering the windshield with bits of goo. Only 1 of the 6 caps did that - the rest weren't even puffed. It still ran ok, but I sent it in anyway despite it will probably void the warranty being it was used out of spec. If it comes back, I can hook you up with a good price for it if interested - and it I have an extra pistix to go with it if needed.

Good luck! I am done with the speed thing. It was simply uncontrollable and wasn't very fun.

Brian,

I thought you never got a chance to run it?? Did you get any info on it like speed, amp draw, etc. ??

I could get enough room to really let it rip. I got to maybe 60 when I could get the tires to get a hold. Anything more than VERY gentle throttle broke them all loose. As it is, I totally ripped apart a tire, and damaged 3 others (repairable). No idea on amp draw, but the HV110 was barely warm until it blew that one cap (45*F outside too so that helps). I don't imaging the amp draw was high since I could hardly touch the throttle. :diablo:

Sweet jesus this will be a fun video to watch!

Round 1

Alright guys. Just got back from running the truck. Unfortunately, I had problems.... It seems that the center diff front bearing carrier broke down which caused the spur to shift and get completely chewed up!! On a good note, that was it so I will be visiting the local shop to pick up the parts to run it again Wednesday night. The truck looks very promising as I when I pulled it out to take it to the end of the street to line it up it clocked 71mph in 100 foot stretch!! I have video but I think I am going to wait to add it with Wednesdays' vid and edit it all. I will keep you guys posted!!

wow, the suspense

speedracer1129 12.02.2008 11:31 PM

Alright. I got the car back together again. The bearing carrier failed and caused the bearing to fail as well. Everything has been replaced and I installed the upgraded aluminum carrier so I think I should be in good shape for tomorrow night.

Speedracer,

Where do you run? I am in Ft. Lauderdale and would like to bring my speed projects out for testing..

stompingpede 12.03.2008 04:51 AM

WOW 71 mph in a hundred feet! thats impressive considering my 30oz 6s dragster hits 104mph in 132". must be getting crazy traction. cant wait to see a vid.
