External BEC = less strain on the built in linear BEC (read: less heat).

Anyway, there are loads of aftermarket parts for the WK, you just have to know where to look:

and here

:)

And the HPI touring car wheelie king shall not be mentioned, EVER... :diablo:

thnx!!! ya, thats not a real WK, and I could smoke that record... I'm a tad concerned wiyh gearing tho, wha pinion/spur should I get??

brushlessboy16 12.24.2008 01:59 PM

i know not to mention it... butit IS inspiration...

Gearing will depend on voltage and motor kv choice, and the topspeed you want to achieve (a specific goal is better than just 'fast!'). That said, I dunno the tranny or diff ratios in the WK, so I couldnt help if I wanted to really :P

pedeboi364 12.24.2008 06:11 PM

cool. what turn motor should I run??

suicideneil 12.24.2008 07:07 PM

Wrong person to ask really, I prefer big monster trucks

If you use a Castle Creations system, the 4600kv motor on 3s lipo should be more than plenty, or just the MM esc and a medusa 50mm motor in something like ~3000kv flavour should provide more grunt thahn you'll ever need or be able to use/control. I'd look into the HPI touring car WK and see what did exactly, there should be lots more info floating around the forum if you dig hard enough.
