My father is an old electrician and said it could be a cold soldier joint. He has a meter that I can check it with. I will beat this thing. I will post pics of the project when I'm finished.
|
I'm sorry for being vague, but when I said check ALL the connections I thought solder joints were included... I hope it's that simple!
|
This is kinda far-fetched but try twisting the wires at the sametime when running the system. I had similar problem with my bk controller. Found that parallel wire were badly soldered. It just cutted the powers when twisting at the right place..

How did you catch the problem? Were you having similar issues?
Thanks, Alex |
Apply some "force" to the bullets and wire - should not crack/break...
Now within about 20 mins patricks going to be asking to QA stickers to bust someones balls... :) |
Na, i plugged all the wires in to the MMM, and then I was going to yank them all out off the mamba(for a photo) when the wire came out, but the bullet didnīt:tongue:, so i resoldered them all, just to be safe.
It never made it to the buggy before this, but i have had a friend with the same problem you described, so I resoldered all off his connectors between the ESC and motor and the problem was gone. So itīs definitely a case off only 2 out off three phases fireing. |
I just home from school and dad meet me at the house with his meter and sure enough one of the wires would not carry a tone across. Resoldered that wire and everything worked like a champ. The just got home from school sounds funny. I'm the assistant principal of a local high school.
Thanks Alex |
Did the meter show any resistance? Just curious.

The setting that gave the tone read .011 for all the other wires and read .014 for this wire when I fixed it. He had another setting that he turned it to and all the good wires read 0 and this will still had some readin, but I did not pay attention to what. It was some sort of 70 series meter. He was an electrician/telephone man. The meter was used by him when he was a telephone repair man/ equipment installer. I'm sorry I did not pay closer attention. I was just happry I was not out a lot of money.
