I (the dad) installed new 70 tooth gear which should give me much more top speed than the 66...i will also slam the truck to the ground for some high speed runs and maybe i can turn without flipping out of controll

I did flip a Samarai once though...It only took me and one other guy to stand it back up on all 4's

Matt, increasing the spur gear tooth count while using the same pinion will increased your low end torque but decrease your top speed. You need to use a smaller spur or bigger pinion to increase your top speed.

70t spur will make it slower. Way it works is:
Bigger pinion = more speed
Smaller spur = more speed.

stock emaxx is 32p right and Plette is 5mm right?

Yes, I buy my pinions from Mike but I use 5mm Mod 1 instead of 32P.
