Bet he doesnt hear that alot...

+1 for direct drive.

I dont think Im going to be able to do direct drive. The rotor is on the neo mag like a chimp is a on bananas.

BL_RV0 01.27.2009 09:55 PM

Holy... How much was the motor? What ESC/batts are you planning?

Takedown 01.27.2009 10:56 PM

Motor was $60 from my bro. I plan to use the BP 200a 10s esc and two 5s flightmax 5000mah 25c packs in series.

PedeBasher 01.27.2009 11:28 PM

:surprised: WOW! That is ginormous! Can I have two? I... um... have a bike... LOL

bigboi146 01.28.2009 12:22 AM

And I thought the CIM was the largest motor I ever saw.(thanks FIRST)

I think you're mistaken. I've seen reviews of the Supersimple/BP 200a esc saying that they should never be run over 6s. Consider a Sentilon 100a HV ESC.

I second that. Are you using mechanical brakes? You'll have to with the Sentilon.

FIRST sends an email to companies who have overstock of stuff people dont want...and are willing to donate...and they stick it in the kit

been trying to get the GDC to allow brushless as a add on...but the "less fortunate" team would have a disadvantage. Im all for fairness...but C'MON:whistle:

's what i was thikning.. and it just happens to be that the Neu 22xx series uses the same mounting holes and shaft diameter as the cim....

BL_RV0 01.28.2009 11:19 AM

Y'all haven't seen Neu's 40XX series hav you? Maybe it was 44XX but there was a blurb on Neu's website about it. Nothing on Castle's site though.

They would never use these motors. And would probably never use sensorless brushless for 100lb robots seeing that cogging would casuse a major issue.
