Definitely! You'll enjoy 4s in the Emaxx. Longer runtimes, less weight, good speed.

Pair of 2s lipos in series is best for the emaxx (old or new emaxx?)

I have one question though- when you said you ran 6s lipo on your mambamax & it blew up, did you have a an actual mambamax esc (and not an MMM/MambaMonster), as in, the one thats rated for 3s lipo, or 4s with some mods?... would explain the fire and flaming death it suffered.... :wink:

Exactly the same rules- they are mechanically 99% identical in terms of the driveline and power requirements. Only difference is that the erevo has limited space in the battery compartments, so your lipo choices are a bit more restricted- have a gander at this:

Depends where you go to get one, since most stuff in the UK tends to be imported from the orient or the states, so prices are higher for the same item compared to what they cost abroad. That said, if you want a do-it-all charger that is simple to use and doesnt cost a fortune, you have a few choices:

Hyperion 606i
Bantam BC6 (I have one of these)

These have a built in 12v power supply so you dont have to find a seperate one and hook it up; the only downside is it limits the charge power so something like a 5000mah 4s lipo will take about 1.5hrs instead of the usual 1hr. Thats not an issue for me personally but some people like a really quick turn around time so they can get out and bash their truck again asap.

I would google for the best prices- the bc6 is much more common in the UK (~£120), but the hyperion may be hard to find so importing would be your best option. This assumes you want a lipo capable charger and not just a nimh charger, but it makes more sense to get a better charger now rather than spend more £ upgrading later.

Not cheap, and requires a BIG powersupply as it doesnt have a built-in one, nothing that powerful has a built in one really, but you can buy them fairly cheaply, or make your own from an old PC powersupply (something in the 300-500watt range should be about right, but the more wattage the merrier).

You can also buy/make special harnesses to parallel two lipos together in order to charge them at the same time from a single charger, but its not ideal- better off with a pair of normal lipo chargers, tend to work out at roughly the same price:

£120 each for the bc6 chargers say, so total of about £250 once you add on the balance tap adaptors for each charger (£5 each or so).

vs

£200 for the duo charger, another £30-50 for a powersupply (at least, some of the higher powered models are upwards of a 100 squid ), plus import fees and shipping as you wont find those in the UK baring a miracle.

Nice thing is most can be ran from a 12v car battery, which is ideal for racing tracks with no mains power.
