I think that's wise - for what it's worth . . . I cooked my Lehner 1940 at 232 degrees

tha5150 02.09.2009 05:23 PM

wooooowwwww... yeah, i am going to send it back. thanks again..

tha5150 02.09.2009 05:35 PM

update: just spoke with them on the phone, i told him i would like to ship it back to them for inspection. he said " of course"! i then asked if i could get one in replacement for it since i wasnt sure of the problems.... ... ... he will ship one back to me at the same time i send him this one. now, THAT IS COOL SH!T!!!!!!

off topic but is my thread so screw it.. haha..

i need some different springs. mine have no rebound anymore, even with 3 clips to shorten them. i think i might go with the white ones. my question, will the 8.5 springs fit on the 8? also would it behoove me to get the big bore shock bundle or is that too much for a novice user?

Sower 02.10.2009 10:21 AM

I don't know if the springs will fit - you should be able to check the diameter of each shock set to check. Typically Tower Hobbies will give those specs when you look up the part.

I will say that if you plan on racing or getting more serious, the big bore upgrade is one of the best things you can do. Made 100% difference when I did it to my XT8 truggy. No comparison.

tha5150 02.10.2009 11:51 AM

well i would like to enjoy the buggy at the track but i am, by no means getting into racing or whatever. i just light to go and have some fun. of course, i also want everything nice while doing it.

Sower 02.10.2009 11:54 AM

Well, I would suggest it if you're "picky" like me  You'll notice a difference on the bumps and jumps. Best upgrade I've done besides going brushless.

Not sure if they'll fit, but you can find full sets of 4 D8 shocks on ebay for about $50. Losi 8ight sets too.

tha5150 02.10.2009 11:58 AM

i thought i heard someone say that if i want big bores, i need to add some extension or something. maybe you can help me find some documentation? i cant seem to anywhere.. i did see some to fit an 8.5 for 39 bucks buy now on ebay from china. so more or less, 50 bucks sounds dead on. but this seller said 8.5 and i see other things adversised for the 7 and 8 together. nothing showing 7, 8 and 8.5 ..... so i am led to believe that they wont...

Sower 02.10.2009 12:04 PM

Well, I don't know as much about the 8.5 but I bet you could easily find out if you started a new thread in the buggy section. There are several guys here that run the Hyper buggies so I bet someone here has done it. You'll get a faster response than if I looked into it too!

tha5150 02.10.2009 12:19 PM

hah.. well thanks bro.

No problem - this site is a great resource. I bet you'll have an answer within 30 minutes of posting your new thread. Freaking awesome.
