People DO run the CC 2200 on 6s, but those who do say it is insane power. Diffs won't last too long, especially traxxas diffs. I personally think the 2200 motor is a better 4-5s motor for MT/truggies, while the 2650 is a better buggy motor on 4s. I tend to like rpms between 37k and 45k and just gear down. The higher rpms/lower gearing reduces chances of cogging.

Man that is like 55440 RPM. I know that it is insane my friend has that set up and I dont like it to much but I guess you could always turn it down with the castle link. Well, speaking about that could I use the 2000kv and turn it down at the ESC and run it like that or would it cause some heat issues with the ESC????

Depends. You can diaL up the punch control to help limit the high current startup bursts (and help runtime), but overall speed will still be fast. Don't use the EPA to limit throttle throw because that is inefficient, although I guess that would be the same as running at less than WOT.

So all in all, if use the 2000kv I could run the risk of overheating more than with the 1600kv.....and how much cooler does the 80mm run vs. the 70mm??? In your experience.

The last 2 emaxx's on this page are running close to the same temps and close to the same gearing, so is the 80 worth the extra $$$????

BrianG how does your BL Parameter Comparison work?? If I input low kv and high gearing with high volts the temp is kinda high. But if I go with high kv low gearing and high voltage the temps go down.......

Yeah, that's about right. It's just showing that any extreme is not good. The idea is to match the setup right for proper operation. In case you didn't catch it, the gearing slider plays affects the temp the most.

As to the motor size question: I personally would go for the 80mm. The increased surface area will have better cooling ability and will be less sensitive to less than ideal gearing.

Honestly that was the first thing that I noticed. I input some numbers into your speed calculator and I know it is just a rough guesstimate but, I was wondering if there would be a way to figure in some inertia or weight to see if would show total amp draw or lack thereof.


Oh, wait I think I found it. Is it where you have max amp that the motor can draw???
