I was told it does not void the warranty as long as I didn't open it up. I cut the wire about 1 inch from the case.

Dave you know how many castle ESC's I've tried. EVERY SINGLE ONE had a failed switch. I've sent them back several with cut switches, no worries.

I like using a switch so in order to use the stock one as long as possible, this is what I did. Up to now, it has been good. If it ever starts to act funny on me I will replace with a better switch like Brian has. But it just keeps on working fine the way it is now.

First I wrap it to keep the dust out.

Then I made this thing out of a piece of scrap Lexan to keep the switch from getting to the OFF position by itself.. A trick from Joel ''Magic'' Johnson back in the 90s.
