ok just got my medusa 28x32mm 4200kv v2 motor
going to run stock 45 tooth spur with my sidewinder micro
and i did get a 13t pinion mod 0.7 but it just looks to small
sould i run a bigger pinion with this set up
for now i have the dtxc2193 7.2 1600mah nimh until i get lipo
thanks
for the help

With that motor you should be able to run 16t, or 19t with no problem. Next thing I'd worry about are the dog bones. If they're plastic you are going to be snapping them.

yeh i did get the duratrax steel cvds and right now looking at novak mod 0.5 17/18/19t set@10.99 on towerhobbies
but for now i just have to put it all in and see how it runs on the 13t mod 0.7
it just looks so small (mod 0.7)

hi,
the sidewinder micro & medusa works good but now looking at the sidewinder 1/10th +4600kv motor from castle its the cm-36 4600kv will this fit
thanks

The esc is good but the motor is too big. The medusa motor is way better then the castle motors, but if you want a castle motor the only ones that will run cool are the 28mm motors, which I know nothing else about. The 1/10th motors are 36mm in diameter and they won't fit without serious modding.. The 28mm motors by castle are made for 1/18th scale vehicles like the vendetta.

Stick with the medusa and if the esc is getting too hot, upgrade the the 10th scale sidewinder. If the motor is too hot you are geard to high, or possibly too low. You may also have binding in your drivetrain.

no... those are way too big to fit.
