dunno about metalman, but kershaw design has them.

all joking aside, nice write up MetalMan!

This one came from Offshore Electrics.

Who can spot the imperfection on my left thumb? This ought to be far more interesting than discussing a Feigao motor.

What's_nitro? 05.12.2009 11:53 PM

Yayy! 20 questions!

1) Were you working on your 1:1 car?

MetalMan 05.12.2009 11:54 PM

No .

What's_nitro? 05.12.2009 11:55 PM

2) Were you using tools of any kind?

MetalMan 05.12.2009 11:59 PM

Yes.

The scar on your left thumb was caused by:

While you were using either a Drill press or a mill machine, the part you were drilling/machining came loose from it's vice or your grip. While rotating out of control, it contacted your flesh, ripping and tearing like a big dog.

Note to self: always use a vice to secure work.

Anywhere close?

How's the performance of this new motor?

Honestly, I can't say. The KB-45 was on 6s 7400mah and had a kv of 1200, through a MMM. Now this Feigao is on 10s 3700mah with a HV-110. No real comparison there, unfortunately. Not to mention the buggy is set up differently than before. So the best I can say is "comparable".

No, it happened about 2 1/2 years before I got my first RC car.

Nah, that's where the scar on my left middle finger came from
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...r/IMG_0457.jpg (click if you dare) (note the white band was due to intense moisture from keeping a bandage on it all the time)

Performance was great! Just gotta work on dialing in the ESC settings and pinion size.
