That looks tough
Looks great to me, and I would agree that they need solder posts on them, I'm sure they are working on it.... and if they aren't they can go to #3LL  |
somtimes you get grommets and two different hole types with no flat spot, others you get a flat with no grommets, lol its like they mix it up to always keep you scratchin your head

Neu is really stepping it up. I was hoping that they would use larger bearings. I have a 2215/3Y and a 1515/3d and it always seemed like they needed larger bearings.
|
Now I see why I bought a brand new NEU motor for about $60.00 off... They where getting rid of the older models to sell the newer versions. I had a feeling that's what it was. I really didn't mind. Hey it's still a NEU motor! I can't wait to test it out!!

put some screw to hold the front case...ishhh not a good idea(except for the m4 hole)....i see a lot of motor that the front cap come loose and you know the rest of the story:whistle:i prefer the old design of the front bell but for the other mod ...wow bigger bearing,insulation...very good mod

reminds me of my losi xcelorin, 16mm front bearing and m3/m4 screw holes. sounds fantastic, but honestly, it just makes sense to build it solid. the losi has a 16x8x5mm bearing, which is a very common size, replacement is easy.

I just compared the 2 1521 1y motors I have. The newer model has a much larger front bearing, and has the 3 piece can. It is slightly longer like 1/8" or so. No real weight difference that I can feel.

Bi-directional learning.
CC got Neu's design and improved it with 16mm bearing/3 piece can/ flex lead/ sealed/ Kevlar wrap rotor..... now Neu is taking some of these improvements back to their "original" products. Any changes on the rotor? have a look inside, gentlemen ! |
Hum !!!! Just look at this post, it's my comment :

yes but now replacing the front bearing does not involve removing both sides shims and the rotor..... just a set screw and unscrew the front bell replace bearing and screw back on, make for much less room for error when replacing the bearing....
