Brushless motors can be wired in two ways, star or delta. Most every motor does this internally, but some lehners do it externally so you can choose the wind you want yourself. The different configurations affect motor kv so you can suit it to your application. The 6 poles are wired in star with 3 leads out or joined with 3 sets of 2 poles so you still have your familiar 3 wire hookup.
The link is ingenious because it uses a simple screw to hold the pivotball instead of the much more complicated way most attach them.
