dang that sucks.... i really like them.. do you know how to remove tires that are glued to aluminum MIKE?

I have never done it. I would assume the baking method would work. Acetone also removes the tire glue, but I am not sure if it would harm the finish on the aluminum. I will try to find out from a machinist friend of mine.

If you saw them in person, you may change your mind. I think they are pretty sweet, myself. Of course, you have your own taste, so get what you like. Most other aluminum rims that come near the quality of the RDLogics rims are a bit more pricey.

well you saw the price on them prototypes i found.. WOW.. pretty cool though? was that a good grade of aluminum? also you can make your own with that company. you design them and then send it to them and they will make them but it is 199.99

Regarding the glued tires on alum -

I’ve used denatured alcohol on polished aluminum wheels - no problems on finish. Cut tire off along side wall and let the wheel soak in the alcohol (use gloves) pull off the tire once it releases (eachside). You may need to go back with a hard edge (like a flathead screwdriver) to scrape some off.

Also I’ve just boiled the wheels in water. Same as above – cut off the tire and boil the wheel. Don’t burn yourself and make sure the water doesn’t boil off - it will char the wheel - this could also create some bad smells

Usually when I replace the tires it is because the original was warn or damaged. You could probably do the same without cutting.

I have used the boiling method on my plastic rims and works good. I have seen the baking method recommended to remove the tires from aluminum rims.

hey thanks man... one more question... can you run the aluminum in the snow or not? like will is rust or not? cause if so i will but a set of RPM arms and just use aluminum chasis... will a normal body fit the exteneded chasis

yes, just dry them out really well after the run.
