Dude. Can't you get a couple of days off for THIS? This is only going to be here this year. Next year it will be across the country somewhere REALLY out of reach. :whip:

Yeah, school can wait. This is far more important!

The more I think about it, the more I am considering it. I can make the long (1200 mi) trip in a day if I have to and I have lots of vacation time as I haven't used any in a while AND my new race buggy shipped today. I would be running hard case... but 6s. Hmmmmmmmmm!

RC-Monster Mike 09.24.2009 10:27 PM

I am gonna try to make the trip as well, though this year's travel budget is getting thin(RCX, IHobby, etc.).

Does your suitcase fit 6'4'' skinny black guy?

Well, maybe I will try for it then  At least it won't be hot!

funny coming from a guy who lives "in a van down by the river".... I think you need to put some gas in that thing and get moving! :na:

Yeah, I'm too far away too... no cash to fly to a race

If it weren't for the fact that this race is Thanksgiving weekend, I would make the 1200mi trek down from Seattle. :grrrrrr:

I'd imagine this is the case for many. :whip:

RC-Monster Mike 09.25.2009 02:29 PM

Didn't realize that - that counts me out for sure. :(

bdebde 09.25.2009 03:28 PM

Thanksgiving, smanksgiving... you can give thanks from anywhere... even southern California, LOL. (and eat turkey too!)

C'mon Mike. Dan from RCPD will be there too. We could have a mini manufacturer's cup race!

RC-Monster Mike 09.28.2009 08:52 AM

I would love to participate but Thanksgiving and Christmas are really the only times I get to spend any time with my family(2 brothers, parents and nephews), though. I think holding the race on Thanksgiving weekend is VERY poor planning.

I agree.

I would have loved participating in this race but a race on a Holiday like Thanksgiving just won't work for me.

marzac2 09.28.2009 07:47 PM

Too bad you won't be able to make it Mike. Hopefully you have a great holiday break and maybe the family won't drive you too crazy.

For me, I am hopeful that the Thanksgiving holiday won't hurt the turnout too much. I, like many others don't do a whole lot on Thanksgiving (except eat too much) and look for something to do with the extra time off.
