I guess im confused now also. What exactly is broken according to you on the MMM?

Finnster 10.11.2009 11:15 PM

You want the drag brake to fully engage off throttle if you are crawling to hold you where you are. You don't want to go rolling away.

Drag brakes Patrick - Did it make the new version?

A good drag brake makes or brakes a crawling ESC for sure. Thanks for the castle link update so I don't hve to pull my ESC out anymore.

I like the usb feature.. just put the esc in a place where you can access it

The Mamba Max not the Mamba Monster has a mini USB port on the side of it, No castle link was needed.

I've had my MM in about 5 different cars, and only in one of them was I ever to place it where I could get to the port. The update will be welcome.

OTOH, I want to trade it in for a MMP. :)

Did the change to the MM allow it to work w/ Vista 64 bit? I did hear they were trying to do something throught the chip instead of the USB for 64 bit. If not seems like a waste of time to me.

Arct1k 10.12.2009 08:53 PM

It works on Vista 64! i've done it!

You have to flash the MM on XP or vista 32 first - then you are good via castle link - YAY

Flash? I did use my ex's laptop that had xp to upgrade/program it earlier in the summer. But I'm not getting any response using my 64 bit desktop. It sees the usb connection but not the esc. Still tells you to use the usb in the mm.
