I have been charging at roughly 2.5C non-balance mode on my G3 VX pack Redshift, I really don't see a problem with it, unless I somehow started charging the two packs in series when one was charged already... but that is dangerous no matter the charge rate. I just need to get a list of things to buy before I get some of those 3s-to-6s balance adapters that hobbyking has... sort of a waste to ship one little thing from china. :neutral: :mdr:

If you're satisfied that it's safe then I certainly won't preach, and you are aware of the risk. But for those new to lipo, until they get a 'feel' for things, it's best to not take chances. And if they're trying to straight charge a pack that is already out of balance at 2C+... woe to the pack- at least.
