That conversion looks nice but it includes things that I will already have, like a chassis etc. Might as well just buy a motor mount and battery box separately

Well I decided to get the Hyper 8, because I've heard great things about them. I've just heard too many people say that the RC8 breaks way too easily.
Anyway here is the Hyper 8 sale, I got it for £90, do you think I did alright?

I think you did alright...it equals $150-US dollars if I did the exchange correctly.

Looks to be nice and clean and spare are always a bonus!

yeah i just figured, since i dont race and just bash, i dont want my car to be breaking down every time i go out, and the RC8 just looked too flimsy

That is exactly why have a Mugen buggy and truggy. Built like tanks.

i got the hyper not the mugen. but apparently hypers are equally tough

lincpimp had a good hyper 8 for sale. i've seen it run and they are pretty durable. not a bad deal.

i would have looked for a losi 8ight tho. cheap durable basher and racer.

My RC8T is primarily a bashing machine and it takes more abuse than my Savage... so I would not say that the RC8 is "flimsy", far from it by any stretch of the imagination.

Frankly at 70+ (or even lower) any car is going to have problems when it hits something.
